Flavors and Colors of Kadayawan 2019 at Seda Abreeza

Flavors and Colors of 34th Kadayawan at Seda Abreeza

Davao’s urban lifestyle hotel, Seda Abreeza kick-off the Kadayawan season by hosting a festive and flavorful gala for its stakeholders, patrons and media friends on Wednesday, July 24.

This year’s event which was held at the T’nalak hall was once again a hit for the guests with the culinary team of Misto staging its extraordinary prowess by showcasing the best flavors of Davao.

The hotel also celebrates another year of partnership with the Philippine Eagle Foundation and Malagos Chocolates. This year is extra special as Seda Hotels expands its corporate social responsibility initiative as it adopts a Philippine Eagle named “Mayumi” – a Filipino word that translates gentle or refined.

Guests who will avail of the best available rates in whichever Seda Hotel they are checking in will have a chance to help in the conservation mission of the foundation. This partnership effort is made to continue the hotel's tradition of supporting environmental sustainability and preservation of wildlife for its room promotions, specialty drinks, dishes, and spreads using only Davao’s finest products.

In sync with this effort is the display of “Diola”, one of the center’s taxidermied eagles, at the hotel lobby of Seda Abreeza to further raise awareness and learning to guests who will come and stay at the hotel.

This Kadayawan, Misto, the three-year Philippine Tatler awardee for Best Restaurants has prepared a feast of flavors – starting with ala carte specials filled with local favorites, presented with a touch of exquisite flavors. These include Pomelo and Green Mango Salad, Shrimp Sinigang sa Miso, Tuna Gratin, Green Curry “Davao Express” Beef Short Ribs, Crispy Pork Sisig, Pusit ala Bistek, Durian Panna Cotta, and Mangosteen Mousse. Rates start at Php 180 nett.

During the Kadayawan week, a bountiful dinner buffet is ready for all Misto diners. The regularly offered ala carte dishes are already part of the buffet from August 15-17, 2019, with more courses included such as Misto’s signature Angus Roast Beef, Boneless Lechon, Chicken Sinigang Adobo, Tablea Chocolate Moist Cake, Banoffee Tart and more. Diners may avail this at Php 1380 nett for adults, Php 680 nett for kids 7-12, and free for kids 6 and below.

A bountiful mix of banana, mango, and pineapple are offered in one drink as well. Avail Misto’s Kadayawan Fruit Blend for Php 280 nett.  For cocktails, Pomelo Blaze offers a fusion of bourbon, pomelo, lemon, and a hint of honey – available at Php 380 nett.
