#GiveFlavorfully: THE COFFEE BEAN & TEA LEAF GIVING JOURNAL 2016 LAUNCH in DAVAO

The last three quarters of 2015 has filled my plain, generic, unlined journal with scribbles of things I should accomplish, I have accomplished and will still accomplish. Add to that the lucky lotto numbers scrawled on any random page, bills deadline and formula of Singapore Math my kids were so hard at. My journal also has a folded leaf with online passwords on it (yeah, when you're anaesthesized quiet understandable but don’t ever attempt to steal it, it’s in a safe, lol) random short stories, Haikus whenever inspiration hit me and names of flowers I have photographed and a long list of to dos, ticked and some unticked. And one more thing, I always lost a pen, so imagine my journal’s pages in technicolor. Practically, my life in a journal.

I have owned a woman-tailored journal before and loved it. But I have not owned anything coffee-themed journal yet, ever. So, November 7 in Davao was a good chance to check what The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf Giving Journal 2016 will be like. See how pretty I can mess with this journal out.

And oh, before skimming the journal The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf will be offering its customers two special flavours this Christmas – The Toffee Nut and the Winter Dream Tea. These come in two variations, the iced and warm latte.

The Toffee Nut gets inspiration from traditional holiday flavours, hence, the buttery and caramelized sugar with the richness of espresso as base, nut notes and with sprinkles of toffee bits to complete the flavour. The Winter Dream Tea is a blend of sweet spices and hints of Vanilla - A perfect fantasy in a cup of what holiday dreams are truly made of. Trying all two this Christmas!

This year’s theme is ‘Give Flavorfully’. Two words to ponder, how? And we’ve been tasked to post card our power word in relation to giving flavourfully this holiday season - creatively.

April San Pedro had us done this artistically. Thanks April for the crash course in watercolour lettering. You’re awesome!

And to share you some basic tips on watercolour lettering – heavy pressure when writing down and light pressure when writing up. See? How hard can that be?  I just spent here 30 minutes of my life scribbling my power word. Hahahaha!

FujiFilm Instax was the activity's partner and we were to win gift certificates for the best work uploaded over at Instagram. Geez, think I need to work on my pulse more. But what's important was that, I did my best, but as the song goes, my best wasn't good enough. Went home with an Instax photo souvenir, though. Thanks Instax.

Yeah, and to answer the hanging question above how can I give flavourfully? I’ve been blessed quiet a loadful this year and I believe it’ll comeback a tonful if I unload some and share. So we're sharing as we've always been but plentier this time. Olds and unremembered folks love Christmas too, so it's them this year :)

It’s always a good feeling to know that a lot of business entities these days don’t just think about plain takings but have advocated generous and flavourful givings along with their quest to success. And shout out to The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf for not just providing us our enjoyable daily dose of caffeine, serving tasty cookies and muffins but also sharing their blessings to the less fortunate ones.

Part of the proceeds of Giving Journal 2016 will go to the educational needs of the less fortunate via CBTL’s partner, Real LIFE Foundation. The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf has already sent 38 university scholars, 13 of them have graduated since 2011. This is in part of the company’s mission to give others a chance to fulfill their dreams, help their families and improve their prospects for a brighter future.

See, the Giving Journal is certainly not just an ordinary journal. It is a gift where joy of giving and receiving last well past the holiday season.

And the travel planner. When you're paying for five plane tickets back and forth with hotel accommodation, food and ice cream on the side, a mommy really needs to plan. How handy!
