The last time I was in Cebu was three years ago. We made Cebu our launch pad for our vacation to Bohol, Dumaguete and then Siquijor. It’s amazing to see how this city dubbed as Queen City of the South has blossomed into now a bustling business nucleus of the country and one of most sought-after tourist destinations not only among locals but among international tourists as well.
With this growth, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu serves as a setting to provide luxurious accommodation not only for business and leisure but also as a venue of important events and exquisite dining destination of the city.
Just like its sister hotel in Davao, Marco Polo Plaza Cebu is considered a landmark in Cebu City. Located in Nivel Hills, it elegantly graced the skyline of the city. With only about 25 minutes drive away from Mactan International Airport and 10 minutes drive anywhere else in the city one can definitely shop and explore downtown Cebu in a breeze. The Sirao flower garden, the Temple of Leah are just few of the many Cebu attractions that are very accessible from the hotel.

El Viento Restaurant & Pool Bar.
Cafe Marco, Marco Polo’s signature outlet that features Asian and international buffet
and a-la-carte menu.
BLU Bar & Grill. At 1,000 feet high, nothing beats an evening sipping cocktail with good company and a breath-taking view of the city.
The Continental Club is the hotel’s roof-top lounge with a 360 degrees panoramic view of Cebu. This plush lounge assures privacy and luxury for today’s leisure and business travellers.
At a dinner hosted by the Marco Polo Plaza Cebu Team, we get to try Mango Bango, the hotel’s signature cuisine. The dishes were finely crafted by the hotel’s culinary team in honour of the region’s popular golden and sweet fruit, the mango.
On the menu of our four-course meal;
Davao Media and #TeamDDI Dinner Menu |
Ravioli filled with crabmeat, mushroom & mango |
Dressed in tomato coulis with truffle cream
Green Mango Sorbet |
Mango Surf & Turf -Beef & Grouper Fish |
With kangkong adobo, mango, potato mash and sake-infused beef jus.
Duet Mango & Bango |
It's mango cheesecake and mango jam creme brulee with berries and mango salad
But first a selfie. I came early. Lovely table set-up,
so Cebu feels with mangoes on a lechon tray.
