After hours of hearing my neighbors’ screaming, finally they settled when Miss USA was called Miss Universe 2012. Expectedly, they’ve been distraught by the result as they’re rooting since day 1 for Miss Philippines, Janine Tugonon, closest opponent to getting the crown. In the end, Miss Philippines was declared the First Runner-up to Miss Universe 2012, and the ‘beckies’ can’t get enough of their 'kaokrayan' comments, saying 'end of the world' is really going to happen not tomorrow but now, that made me laugh out loud - made my day..
I won’t be adding comments from a very personal judgment because I know it’ll be politically laden, you know feminist minds when they comment about beauty pageants. But a general congratulatory note, that you, Janine Tugonon, made us proud, and you’ve made a ruckus in your country, especially in the social media, that heaven knows – I ate lunch over Twitter and Facebook because we don’t have Cignal, lol.
