Air Asia launches new routes from Davao starting April 22, 2017

Philippines Air Asia, the leading low cost carrier in the country now expands network as it launches four new flights from Davao City to Clark, Cebu, Caticlan and Palawan starting April 22, 2017.

At the launch event held at the White House Restaurant, Philippines Air Asia CEO, Captain Dexter Comendador said, “Davao is an important gateway to Mindanao and we are thrilled to bring Davao much closer to Northern Luzon via Clark, to Visayas via Cebu and to the best island destinations in Boracay and Palawan. During the event, the partnership agreement was signed between Air Asia, Department of Tourism and Davao Fun Sale Execom forging Davao as a premier tourist destination in the Philippines, given its abundance in terms of resources for eco-tourism, available facilities for conventions, sports and outdoor competitions.

As an airline partner, AirAsia is offering low fares for its Manila-Davao flights including the newly launched flights from Davao. The agreement also includes joint marketing projects and activities to promote Davao across the Philippines and in AirAsia Group’s massive ASEAN network – Asia, Australia and China.

AirAsia’s latest destination campaign, #ChasingWonders which aim to draw travellers to discover the rich beauty of the Philippines was also presented during the launch.
