According to study, watching thriller and horror movies have benefits on women psyche.

It is obvious that what is happening on the screen absolutely has no connection with reality and therefore does not arouse traumatic situations, but only strengthens the counteraction of the development of phobias. The brain sensing danger produces additional energy directed at the activeness of neurotransmitters – glutamate, dopamine and serotonin. As a result, the body remains in a state of combat readiness for some time.

Moreover, a potential threat signal passes through the hypothalamus, the part of the brain that deals with the glandular system of the body. This signal stimulates the adrenal glands to produce adrenaline, which is responsible for the production of opiates, which in turn have an anesthetic effect. As the phobic reaction shuts down at this point, an answer may lead to a positive experience, adaptive to serious situations. Half an hour later, all systems become calm, and the body’s defenses get stronger.

Other than my fear of snakes that I have not conquered until now, this is one angle in my life that I really have not explored, I understand I have unresolved issues with my past, maybe that’s why I have lots of fears, but getting into the face of this fiction and yanking my heart out, I can’t imagine myself, maybe I’ll try when I have lots of maids to do the mommy chores, because for sure I’ll be down with nervousness.

I might just look for other alternative to serve this purpose, but if you’re adventurous, start screaming your heart out. Waaahhhhhhh!
